We all love our men to smell great. And for most people, they immediately think of going the route of cologne to help do that. But how many of us have ever considered what we are giving our men in that bottle of cologne? I, for one, tend to avoid anything with additives that are unidentifiable and ingredients I can’t pronounce.
According to Google, ‘Fragrance’ is defined by the FDA as a combination of chemicals that gives each perfume or cologne (including those used in other products) its distinct scent. A combination of chemicals?!? My favorite scents come from nature, not chemicals.
I already have an abundance of essential oils in my home, and several of them have very manly scents: Frankincense, Cedarwood, Pine, Blue Spruce, Peppermint, and several Citrus options. In a small glass spray bottle, mix 10 drops of any of those with about 3-4 ounces of Distilled Water and Witch Hazel (in a 50/50 blend) and you have a perfect substitute for those chemically filled, pricey colognes.
It’s not always easy to be aware of what’s in our products, but its good to remember to look, especially when it’s something that going on our skin. Treat your body as the irreplaceable asset it is and scent it well!See this months newsletter content
